Aayubowan!!
I have listed a few occasions out of a huge list of customs we observe as part of culture. They were once strictly observed, although with changing society, some tend to get watered down. May be some customs are actually dying. Many have disappeared already.
The ones I have listed are the ones which I have personally encountered and gone through in my own life, as a child and as a parent living abroad. This adds complications, obviously. Still, some customs are passed down the generation.
What I plan to do is to expand on these subjects and make them available in future releases. In the meantime, if you like to have your experiences published here, please let me know.
